Mohamed Asif appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Prisons of Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) for the first time the Maldivian history.
Asif had worked for MCS fro over 13 years and prior to this promotion, he was the acting superintendent of MCS. The letter of promotion was handed to him by the Home Minister, Ibrahim Abdullah during a special ceremony held in celebration of their 48th anniversary.
Moreover, an additional 113 officers were given promotions and employees who served in MCS for a long period of time was given a certificate as a token of appreciation during the ceremony.
