The country is planning to open it’s borders to tourists in July, reveals Ministry of Tourism.
In a short statement on Saturday evening, the Ministry made the announcement with the assurance that guests will not be charged any additional fees to enter the Maldives.
The Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ali Waheed further revealed that current plan is to reopen the country’s borders for tourists in phases. Earlier this month the ministry, in collaboration with stakeholders has drafted a safe tourism guideline which is to be practiced once the industry is restarted.
The guideline is currently under review, and is slated to be released to the public before June.
