Most companies in Maldives, for reasons such as lowering the costs, hire people from outside the country instead of local people. Strada Pvt Ltd run by New port and CharTime, a popular company among Maldivians, has been working on changing the aforementioned tradition by offering chances for Maldivians to promote them.
27 year old Malakaa Abdul Hakeem, as the managing director of the company, aims to make Strada 100 percent a Maldivian company, just as to have Maldivians as staffs at all outlets of the company.
135 staffs work for Strada and majority of them are Maldivians. Malaka had requested local people to apply for jobs at different outlets of Strada.
This company has always known for actively encouraging their staffs and helping them with guidance at workplace.
