Due to recent incidents in Sri Lanka, the Maldivian government has taken additional measures to secure the country’s border.
According to a statement published by the Immigration Office, measures have been taken to make the process of attaining business and special visa more strict.
The approval time period for business and special visa has now been extended to 48 hours. Immigration Office advises to not travel to the country before the approval of the traveler’s visa.
