Dhiraagu Net Profit Decreases

Net profit of Dhivehi Raajje Ge Adu (Dhiraagu) decreases in the second quarter of 2019 according to their published financial reports.

In report, it shows that DHiraagu was able to make a net profit of MVR 210  million in the second quarter compared to their MVR 238 million in the first quarter.

This may be due to the fact that their gross income decreased to an MVR 251 million, whereas they were able to receive an income of MVR 280 million in the previous quarter,

The decrease in profit has not hindered the expansion of Dhiraagu. Recently they introduced 5G, the latest technology in mobile internet connectivity for the first time in the Maldives and have been promoting their other services alongside with it. They have also expanded their fibre broadband service by 75% during the second quarter of the year.
