The St. Regis Vommuli Resort distributed service charge at a rate of USD 725.57 (MVT 11,188.29) in the month of July, making them the highest service charge distributer of that month.
In the previous month, St.Regis Vommuli Resort came in 6th with a service charge of USD 602.65 (MVR9292.86) per employee.
Other resort such as Jumeirah Vittaveli and Dusit Thani Maldives had also experienced an increase in service charge distributed per employee.
While Jumeirah Vittaveli distributed USD 692.53 (MVR 10,678.81) per employee, Dusit Thani Maldives Maldives distributed USD 690 (MVR 10,639.80) as service charge.
According to law, it is mandatory for resorts to charge a minimum of 10% as a service charge, however, only 54 resorts out of the 152 resorts operating in the Maldives distributed service charge according to Maldives Service Charge website.
