There is a possibility of experiencing high tidal bores to some parts of the archipelago, Maldives meteorology department announced on Sunday.
It has also been said that crosswise Maldives with the sea being calm, weather is likely to be broadly fine.
The department impelled public to be cautious, as in the chain of islands mostly in central and southern atolls regardless of fine weather might experience abrupt rise of tidal waves.

Isolated showers and few thunderstorms will be experienced in northern atolls. Mainly fine weather is expected over rest of the country.
Surface winds will vary between north-west / northerly at 03 – 13 miles per hour.
Seas are expected to be moderate.
Swell wave surges are expected during high tide times in central and southern atolls.
