India Donates USD 1.07 Million to MNDF

The Indian government donates USD 1.07 million to assist with the completion of additional facilities at the MNDF Composite Training Center in Lhaviyani Maafilaafushi.

During a special function held at Bandeyri Koshi on Wednesday, the cheque was presented by the Indian Ambassador to the Maldives, Sunjay Sudhir to the Defense Minister, Mariya Ahmed Didi.

The Centre set to be the future main military training facility in the country is being developed in three phases with the assustance from the Indian Government. Phase one consists of an administrative block, three accommodation barracks, a firing shed, a firing range, a health post, an obstacle belt, two recreational buildings, and power, water and sanitation facilities.
