Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Company (MMPRC) took part in the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Initiated in 1991, MATTA fair is an annual travel fair that is held by Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) to encourage travel and to promote tourist destinations.
A total of 1,396 booths by 292 travel companies and tourism organisations took part in the fair this year, from which nine companies were from the Maldives. Located within a 54 square metre area the companies showcased the country’s beauty, cuisine and provide visitors with an option to experience natural scenery via virtual reality.
In addition to this Faiymini Bodu Beru Group performed at the MATTA Fair.
MMPRC stated that it would conduct discussions with Malaysian travel agencies and authorities to promote the Maldives.
