The total tax revenues has hit MVR15,083.4 million in annual terms as per Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry’s Weekly Fiscal Development, the cumulative non-tax revenue total has hit MVR5,608.7 million.
As per the figures, strongest collections in annual terms were earned from Goods and Services Tax (GST).
As such, GST collection has reached MVR7,043.7 million in annual terms.
Moreover, Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) remain the single most effective revenue churner to government.
As per figures, TGST collection has reached MVR4,438.5 million on cumulative basis.
In addition to this, the second strongest revenue stream was Import Duty in tax income column.
As such, Import Duty collection has hit MVR2,963.9 million in annual terms.
Meanwhile, General Goods and Services Tax (GGST) remain the third strongest contributor to state.
As per stats, the GGST cumulative total has hit MVR2,605.2 million by 28 November 2019.
As of the review week, Green Tax has reached MVR772.2 million in cumulative total.
Meanwhile, Airport Service Charge collection has reached an annual total of MVR663.2 million.
Furthermore, the non-tax revenue column has shown stronger growth in annual terms.
As per stats, this is contributed from strong collections in SOE dividends and Fees and Charges.
According to the ministry, dividends from State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) has reached MVR1,584.0 million.
Moreover, the total Fees and Charges collected to state has reached MVR1,486.4 million in annual terms.
Meanwhile, rents collected from resorts have reached MVR1,292.2 million.
